凝集素存在于数种植物和某些动物中。它是由相同亚单位组成的一种四聚体。
应用
凝集素已被用于差异化铺板，以从分离的细胞群体中分离出塞尔托利氏细胞。它还可被用于精原干细胞的差异化铺板。
生化/生理作用
DSL 不是血型特异性的，但对 N-乙酰基葡萄糖胺和 N-乙酰基乳糖胺的低聚物具有亲和力。凝集素是一种糖蛋白，含有约 35％ 的碳水化合物。
凝集素可识别并结合延伸自糖脂和糖蛋白的碳水化合物复合体。它还可结合自由浮动的聚糖，如单糖。
制备说明
通过亲和层析纯化
分析说明
凝集活性以 μg/ml 表示，由 1 mg/ml 在磷酸盐缓冲盐水（pH 6.8）中的系列稀释液而测得。该活性是指 25℃ 孵育 1 小时后使 2％ 人红细胞悬浮液凝集的最低浓度。
