General description
β-羟基丁酸盐,也称为3-羟基丁酸盐,是一种酮体,主要由脂肪酸氧化在肝脏中合成。当血糖水平下降时,酮体形成,即生酮作用,会升高。中度升高的血酮体通常发生在禁食和长期运动期间。在酒精或糖尿病酮症酸中毒期间,血液中的β-羟基丁酸盐会上升到异常高的水平。β-羟基丁酸盐可用作肝脏能量代谢的标记物。β-羟基丁酸盐的形成随着乙酰辅酶A的过量而增加,并作为大脑的能量来源。
