General description
甘油 3-磷酸脱氢酶（GPDH; EC 1.1.1.8）催化磷酸二羟丙酮和 NADH 可逆转化为甘油-3-磷酸和 NAD+。它形成甘油磷酸酯穿梭体，并促进还原当量通过线粒体转移至细胞质。GPDH 对碳水化合物和脂质代谢都很重要。GPDH 基因的突变导致短暂性婴儿高甘油三酯血症。
Application

Biochem/physiol Actions
甘油-3-磷酸脱氢酶活性比色检测试剂盒提供了一种测量各种组织和细胞中的 GPDH 活性的简单、灵敏的方法。通过测量比色产物来确定 GPDH 活性，该比色产物在 450nm 处的吸光度（A450）与存在的酶活性成比例。一个单位的 GPDH 是指在 pH8，37℃ 下每分钟产生 1.0 μmole NADH 所需的酶量。
