General description
中性粒细胞弹性蛋白酶（NE）是一种丝氨酸蛋白酶，可水解中性粒细胞嗜天青颗粒中的蛋白质。一旦分泌，它会消化细胞外基质的胶原蛋白-VI 和弹性蛋白。中性粒细胞弹性蛋白酶与囊性纤维化、支气管扩张、慢性阻塞性肺病、先天性中性粒细胞减少症以及肺癌有关。
