General description
基质金属蛋白酶-3（MMP-3，溶基质素-1）表现出的一些活性，使其成为良好的肿瘤启动子。与其他几种MMP相似，MMP-3作为癌症特异性基因，先后经过首次克隆和再次克隆。除了可以降解大量细胞外基质，MMP-3还能够激活明胶酶B、胶原酶和多种丝氨酸蛋白酶抑制剂。此外，它还能够释放大量细胞表面分子，包括E-钙粘素，一种已知可导致癌症发生的蛋白质。

In the MMP-3 Inhibitor Screening Assay Kit, MMP-3 hydrolyzes a specific FRET substrate to release the quenched fluorescent group Mca, which can be detected fluorometrically ( λex = 325nm/λem = 393nm). The kit provides a rapid, simple, sensitive, and reliable test suitable as a high throughput screening assay of MMP-3 inhibition.
