General description
PP2A is a serine/threonine phosphatase that downregulates the MAP kinase pathway and subsequently modulates mitogenic signaling. This phosphatase also mediates Ras-1 activation, localization of Sgo1 at centromeres, and chromosome segregation . This enzyme primarily comprises of three components; structural subunit A, regulatory subunit B and catalytic subunit C.
