General description
Monoclonal Anti-ATG13 (mouse IgG2a isotype) is derived from the hybridoma ATG13-8 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to the C-terminal region of human ATG13, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in mouse and rat Atg13.
Application
Monoclonal Anti-Atg13 antibody produced in mouse has been used in immunoblotting and immunoprecipitation.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Atg13 is essential for autophagosome formation in mammalian cells. Atg13 forms a stable complex with UNC-51-like kinase 1 (ULK1) and family-interacting protein of 200 kDa (FIP200).
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

Degradation of mitochondria by selective autophagy, termed mitophagy, contributes to the control of mitochondrial quality. Bcl2-L-13 is a mammalian homolog of Atg32, which is an essential mitophagy receptor in yeast. However, the molecular machinery involved in Bcl2-L-13-mediated mitophagy remains to
