General description
NMD3 ribosome export adaptor (NMD3) is an adaptor for 60S subunit export via the export receptor CRM1 (XPO1). In human, the C-terminal domain of NMD3 comprises a CRM1- dependent leucine-rich nuclear export signal (NES) and a nuclear localization signal (NLS) in its. Two zinc-binding centres and the ribosome-binding domain forms the N-terminal domain.
Immunogen
peptide corresponding to an internal region of human NMD3, conjugated to KLH. The corresponding sequence is identical in mouse, rat, monkey, bovine and dog.
Application
Anti-NMD3 antibody produced in rabbit has been used in immunoblotting and immunofluorescence.
Biochem/physiol Actions
NMD3 ribosome export adaptor (NMD3) is a highly conserved nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein, essential for nuclear export of 60S ribosomal subunits.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

CRM1 is an export factor that together with its adaptor NMD3 transports numerous cargo molecules from the nucleus to cytoplasm through the nuclear pore. Previous studies have suggested that CRM1 and NMD3 are detected in the nucleolus. However, their localization
