General description
Monoclonal Anti-EXOSC5 (mouse IgG1 isotype) is derived from the hybridoma EXOSC5(A)-2 produced by the fusion of mouse myeloma cells and splenocytes from BALB/c mice immunized with a synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal region of human EXOSC5, conjugated to KLH. Exosome component 5 (EXOSC5) also known as exosome complex component RRP46, is a part of the eukaryotic RNA exosome which is non-catalytic. It is located on the human chromosome at 19q13.2.
Immunogen
synthetic peptide corresponding to the N-terminal region of human EXOSC5, conjugated to KLH. The isotype is determined by ELISA using Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Isotyping Reagents (Sigma ISO-2).
Application
Monoclonal Anti-EXOSC5 antibody has been used in
- immunoblotting
- immunoprecipitation
- immunofluorescence
Biochem/physiol Actions
Exosome component 5 (EXOSC5) plays a role in RNA processing anddegrading a target RNA. It has a 3′-5′exoribonuclease activity. It is over expressed in various forms of cancer including lung, prostrate, melanoma and colorectal cancer.
Physical form
solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
