Cardionogen-1 is cardiomyocyte promoter and an inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin dependent transcriptional activity with an EC50 of 23 nM in murine stem cells and zebrafish embryos. It induces cardiac cell formation in both murine stem cells and zebrafish embryos, expanding cardiac progenitor cells.
