General description
白细胞介素-1α（IL1α）也成为IL-1A、IL1、IL1-α、IL1F1，是白细胞介素1家族的一种细胞因子。IL-1α是由上皮细胞组成性生成的。它在正常人的表皮中大量存在，并在活的表皮细胞和角质层之间以1:1的比例分布。编码该蛋白的基因定位于人2号染色体。
Biochem/physiol Actions
白细胞介素-1α（IL1α）具有广泛的代谢、生理、造血活性，并在调节免疫反应中起到核心作用之一。它属于白细胞介素-1受体。如果将皮肤视为一种可阻止病原微生物进入体内的屏障，则由健康的表皮角质形成细胞所大量产生的IL-1α前体会干扰IL-1α在免疫反应中的重要作用。在体外，皮摩尔至飞摩尔范围内的IL-1α都可对细胞具有生物学作用。在体内，IL-1α在机体感染后不久就会激活了一系列免疫系统反应过程。
Physical form
从 0.22 μm过滤的PBS ，pH 7.4溶液冻干。冻干前一般加入5-8%甘露醇或海藻糖作为保护剂。
Preparation Note
打开样品瓶之前需离心。用无菌的PBS，pH7.4重悬成浓度为50 μg/mL的溶液。不可涡旋。该溶液可在2-8°C下储存长达1个月。如要长期储存，建议将其存放于-20°C。
