Monoclonal Anti-PSAP antibody produced in mouse

Secreted prosaposin (PSAP) is a pleiotropic growth factor. It is found in bile, seminal plasma, human milk and cerebrospinal fluid. It also exists as a lysosomal protein. In lysosomes, PSAP is the precursor of four sphingolipid activator proteins (saposin A–D). The gene encoding PSAP is localized on human chromosome 10q22.1.

PSAP (AAH01503, 18 a.a. ~ 524 a.a) full-length recombinant protein with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26 KDa.

Prosaposin (PSAP) activates the androgen receptor and has been linked to stimulate metastasis in neoplasms. A variant in the PSAP gene leads to prosaposin deficiency which is a fatal infantile lysosomal storage disorder.
