General description
ZPR1 is a zinc finger protein that interacts with eEF-1α to modulate cell proliferation. Upon mitogenic stiμLation, cytoplasmic ZPR1 moves to the nucleus and accuμLates in the nucleolus of dividing cells. ZPR1 deficiency causes decreased viability of cells and impaired nucleolar functions . Monoclonal Anti-ZPR1 antibody is specific for human, mouse, and yeast ZPR1.
Immunogen
full length human ZPR1.
Application
Monoclonal Anti-ZPR1 antibody is suitable for use in western blot (20-30 μg/mL using total cell extracts of the A431 human epidermoid carcinoma cell line). The product may also be used for immunocytochemistry, indirect ELISA and immunohistochemistry.
Physical form
Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.

The zinc finger protein ZPR1 is present in the cytoplasm of quiescent mammalian cells and translocates to the nucleus upon treatment with mitogens, including epidermal growth factor (EGF). Homologues of ZPR1 were identified in yeast and mammals. These ZPR1 proteins

The zinc finger protein ZPR1 translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus after treatment of cells with mitogens. The function of nuclear ZPR1 has not been defined. Here we demonstrate that ZPR1 accumulates in the nucleolus of proliferating cells. The
