General description
Chlorfluazuron belongs to the class of benzoylurea (BU) insecticides, with broad-spectrum insecticidal activity. It is widely used for the control of insect pests especially Lepidoptera, affecting food, vegetables, and other crops. BU insecticides are effective insect regulators, since they are highly selective, undergo rapid degradation in environmental matrices, possess high biological activity, and cause low levels of toxicity to humans and animals.
