The choice of coating material is based on the stationary phase of the GC. THEED (tetrahydroxyethylenediamine) is generally suitable to reduce tailing and modify selectivity on inert adsorbent medium such as Carbopack C.

应用

Gas chromatographic column packed with Carbopack C modified with THEED was used for the determination of diethylene glycol in wine as it is able to elute glycols as untailed peaks.
