General description
N-trimethylsilyl-imidazole (TMSI) is a silylating agent. It is effective to improve hydrophobicity and catalytic activity of Ti-MCM-41. It is also considered suitable for silanization of silica based amino phases as it reacts selectively with silanol groups.
Application
TMSI was used in derivatization procedure during sample extraction, for GC/MS analysis done for determination of sugar anhydride levoglucosan.
Other Notes
Reagent for oxime, trimethylsilyl (TMS) and O-trimethylsilyl.
