General description
Decylamine is a hydrophobic long alkylated cationic ammonium that is used to modify the polarity of reversed phases on octadecylsilyl (ODS) gels.
Application
Decylamine is used as a pairing agent to enhance the retention of ascorbic acid isomers on a C18 column during the analysis of the isomers in fortified food products by high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
