General description
3,3′-Dichlorobenzidine is a persistent hydrophobic organic contaminant, found to be carcinogenic in nature and is released into the environment as an intermediate from dye manufacturing processes.
Application
3,3′-Dichlorobenzidine may be used as a certified reference standard for the quantification of the analyte and its congeners in environmental samples using high-performance liquid chromatography technique.
Refer to the product′s Certificate of Analysis for more information on a suitable instrument technique. Contact Technical Service for further support.
Other Notes
This Certified Reference Material (CRM) is produced and certified in accordance with ISO 17034 and ISO/IEC 17025. All information regarding the use of this CRM can be found on the certificate of analysis.

Like many hydrophobic organic compounds, 3,3'-dichlorobenzidine (DCB) partitions preferentially to (sediment) particles in lake systems. As such, the behavior of DCB in these systems is substantially affected by the movement of sediments. A field investigation of DCB distribution in sediments
