General description
Tetrachloroethylenes are a class of volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons (VCHCs), which are identified as common contaminants in water.
Application
Tetrachloroethylene has been used as a reference standard for the determination of the analyte in water by automated purge and trap (PT) coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), in exhaled human breath by solid phase microextraction (SPME) combined with GC-MS and in urinary metabolite samples by reversed-phase ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (RP-UHPLC) coupled with electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (ESI/MSMS).
