Application
α-cypermethrin is a broad-spectrum insecticide. It controls a broad spectrum of pests especially Lepidoptera on cerals including wheat, barley oats and vegetables including peas, bean, brassicas potatoes and others. It has a low aqueous solubility and is volatile. As per the regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 α-cypermethrin is not approved for use in the European Union as a plant protection product. Maximum residue levels (MRLs) for different products of plant and animal origin have been set according to Reg. (EU) 2017/626 in the range of 0.05 - 2 mg/kg. The certified reference material (CRM) is intended to be used as a calibrant for chromatography and other analytical techniques.
