To date the molecular mechanism of cardiac hypertrophy has not been completely elucidated. Since oxidized low-density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) is considered a risk marker for early ventricular remodeling, we speculated that ox-LDL may be related to cardiac hypertrophy.
