氧钒核糖核苷复合物(VDR)是过渡态类似物,可与许多 RNase 的活性位点结合,从而抑制其活性。由于 RNase 不会被该复合物共价修饰,因此必须在 RNA 提取和纯化的每个阶段使用 VDR。但是,VDR 还抑制 RNA 聚合酶和体外翻译,因此必须从 RNA 的最终制剂中去除 VDR。

氧钒核糖核苷复合物溶液是核糖核酸酶(RNase)的抑制剂。在组织、基因组、RNA 和蛋白质样品中使用氧钒核糖核苷复合物可防止 RNase 降解 RNA。
