Anti-Axin1 antibody produced in rabbit

Axin1 (axis inhibitor-1 or axin) functions as a negative regulator of Wnt signaling. Axin1 is known to associate with several members of the Wnt pathway such as β-catenin, glycogen synthase kinase-3β (GSK-3β), dishevelled (Dsh) and adenomatous polyposis coli (APC).
Anti-Axin1 recognizes mouse and rat axin1. Staining of the axin1 band in immunoblotting is specifically inhibited by the immunizing peptide.

synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 604-624 located in the C-terminal region of rat axin1, conjugated to KLH. This sequence is highly conserved (single amino acid substitution) in mouse Axin1 and human has 76% identity.

Immunohistochemistry of mouse brain section was performed using rabbit anti-axin1 antibody. Axin1 showed nuclear and cytplasmic expression in the soma and axons of neurons.

Rabbit Anti-Axin1 antibody can be used for western blot applications at concentrations 0.5-1μg/ml.

Solution in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline, pH 7.4, containing 15 mM sodium azide.
