A non-producing lymphoblastoid cell line known to carry Herpesvirus papio. The cells are said to exhibit a nuclear antigen similar to Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen and B-cell characteristics (EAC rosettes) but lack detectable Ig production.

Baboon lymphoblast

RPMI 1640 (R0883)+ 2 mM L-Glutamine (G7513) + 10% FBS / FCS (F2442).

Maintain cultures between 100,000 to 1,000,000 cells/ml; 5% CO₂; 37 °C.
