General description
Mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) regulate a wide range of functions by modulating cellular signal transduction. These functions include cellular growth, differentiation, movement and apoptosis. Conventional MAPKs comprise of the ERK1/2, p38, JNK and ERK5 kinase families. ERK1 and ERK2 are highly conserved serine/threonine kinases that are responsive to growth factors
Anti-MAP Kinase 2 (ERK-2) antibody is specific for MAPK2 (42 kDa) in mice, humans and rats. This antibody does not cross react with MAP kinase 1 (ERK-1) nor does it interfere with the kinase activity.

Immunogen
recombinant mouse MAP Kinase 2 (MAPK2, ERK-2).
Application
Anti-MAP Kinase 2 (ERK-2) antibody is suitable for use in western blot (0.5-2 μg/mL using human A431 cells, mouse 3T3 fibroblasts or rat L6 cells). The product can also be used for immunoprecipitation (5 μg, using 0.5-1 mg of a mouse 3T3 fibroblast lysate).
Physical form
Solution in 0.02 M phosphate buffer, pH 7.6, 0.25 M NaCl, and ≤ 0.1% sodium azide

Extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2 are growth factor-sensitive serine/threonine kinases. cDNAs for both human kinases were isolated and sequenced. The nucleic acid and deduced protein sequences of human extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1 were 88% and 96% identical, respectively, to

The mitogen-activated protein kinases (MAPKs) regulate diverse cellular programs by relaying extracellular signals to intracellular responses. In mammals, there are more than a dozen MAPK enzymes that coordinately regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, motility, and survival. The best known are the
