Astrocytic phosphoprotein PEA-15 (UniProt: Q15121; alsoknown as 15 kDa phosphoprotein enriched in astrocytes, Phosphoprotein enrichedin diabetes, PED) is encoded by the PEA15 gene (Gene ID: 8682) in human.PEA-15is a cytoplasmic protein that is ubiquitously expressed. Higher expressions arefound in ear, brain, muscle, and adipose tissue. Higher levels of expressionhave been reported in tissues from individuals with type 2 diabetes. PEA-15blocks Ras-mediated inhibition of integrin activation and modulates the ERK MAPkinase cascade. It is reported to Inhibit RPS6KA3 activities by retaining it inthe cytoplasm. It is also shown to inhibits both TNFRSF6- and TNFRSF1A-mediatedcaspase 8 activity and apoptosis. It also regulates glucose transport by controllingboth the content of SLC2A1 glucose transporters on the plasma membrane and theinsulin-dependent trafficking of SLC2A4 from the cell interior to the surface.PEA-15 is phosphorylated by protein kinase C and calcium-calmodulin-dependentprotein kinase. These phosphorylation events are modulated by neurotransmittersor hormones. PEA-15 has two microtubule binding sites (aa 98-107 and122-129). Anti-PEA15, clone 2J13 ZooMAb, Cat. No. ZRB1444, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically targets PEA15 and is tested in Affinity Binding Assay, Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting.

Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected PEA15 in NIH3T3 and C6 cell lysates.

Immunocytochemistry Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected PEA15 in NIH 3T3 cells.

Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected PEA15 in human cerebral cortex tissue sections.

Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in lyophilized from PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 μL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.

Reconstitute lyophilized antibody pellet with 25μL of ultrapure water or Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS). Please refer to our reconstitution protocol and the specific application guidance on the suggested starting dilutions and sample type.
