Protein NipSnap homolog 2 (UniProt: O75323; also known as NipSnap2, Glioblastoma-amplified sequence, GBAS) is encoded by the NIPSNAP2 (also known as GBAS) gene (Gene ID: 2631) in human. NIPSNAP2/GBAS is a member of an evolutionarily conserved protein family that also includes NIPSNAP1, NIPSNAP3A, and NIPSNAP3B. It is localized to mitochondria and is reported to play a role in oxidative phosphorylation. It is widely expressed with most abundant expression observed in heart and skeletal muscle. It contains an N-terminal mitochondrial targeting sequence that is sufficient for its import into the mitochondria. It also contains an internal mitochondrial localization sequence, which is absent in NIPSNAP3A, and NIPSNAP3B, and is vital for the accumulation of NIPSNAP1 and NIPSNAP2 on the outer mitochondrial membrane (OMM) following mitochondrial damage. It is reported to act as an eat-me signal for damaged mitochondria and is involved in recruiting autophagy receptors and adaptors, as well as Atg8 to facilitate mitophagy. It also allows a sustained recruitment of SQSTM1-like receptors to ensure efficient mitophagy. Two isoforms of NIPSNAP2/GBAS have been described that are produced by alternative splicing. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. 外形
Purified recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody IgG, lyophilized in PBS with 5% Trehalose, normal appearance a coarse or translucent resin. The PBS/trehalose components in the ZooMAb formulation can have the appearance of a semi-solid (bead like gel) after lyophilization. This is a normal phenomenon. Please follow the recommended reconstitution procedure in the data sheet to dissolve the semi-solid, bead-like, gel-appearing material. The resulting antibody solution is completely stable and functional as proven by full functional testing. Contains no biocide or preservatives, such as azide, or any animal by-products. Larger pack sizes provided as multiples of 25 µL.

Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8°C; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 µL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8°C, or -20°C for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws.
